My Story

A few days after graduating university I moved to Los Angeles. I had a lot of fun, survived an earthquake and then I was selected to interview for Ryerson's TV program. I got in and that brought me back to Toronto. I entered the writing world with an intern position for the CBC's top sketch comedy show, Royal Canadian Airfarce. I picked up a lot of skills that took me on a journey writing for action, drama, sports and young adult television shows in Los Angeles and Toronto.
I was also the head writer for both the World Wrestling Entertainment and the NASCAR DVD game.
Nine television shows later, including my very own on the CBC called XPM, I made my first attempt at a book. I loved the experience and found that I could transfer a lot of my skills from writing television.
My first three books received the Our Choice Award and Best Books for Kids & Teens with The Children's Book Centre and I haven't stopped writing since.
